‘A Place’

“far out on the horizon lies a place where heaven and earth meet…”

Lily is a singer/songwriter, qualified sound healer and a student of Amazonian plant medicines. Lily exhibited two works in Life After Death, her poem, ‘A Place’ continues;

“...a place where clouds rise into mountain peaks stretched out like time and constellations blink to life on lake so still that bare feet step on stars

a place where sunrise bows to memories:
the first wish you made
to a silent God
or a shooting star
or a copper coin
dropped down the well of spent years

a place where the soul is drunk
on words whispered beneath bedsheets and the heart can't be broken by a promise or the touch of another

a place where lost loves nestle on branches that drip with milk and honey and the silver dew of Sunday morning

a place where prayers are lifted
from your tongue like a first kiss and are answered the moment that you breathe them

a place where tears are stolen from your cheeks and frankincense burns like a psalm in the air

far out on the horizon lies a place where I wait for you.”
