Kev Howard
'The Black Triangle'
Kev Howard’s didgeridoo “protest rhythms” transformed the frustrations of inequality into a fiery performance for positive change, carving, in sound, a more equal, joyful future in his work ‘The Black Triangle’.
Kev’s rhythms played through a didgeridoo are acts of protest.
‘The Black Triangle’ is a response to the UK government’s discrimination and targeted and shaming of people with different abilities.
To quote Kev, “...This government’s policies against disabled people and the narrative being projected, is that disabled people are languishing on benefits. They are not… This is a rhythm of protest, and it is dedicated to all of those who have lost their lives as a consequence of discrimination and inadequate disability support. It is also dedicated to one of the best disability rights groups in England right now, the Black Triangle Campaign.”
