Hannah Campion
‘Painting XIII’
Acrylic Car Paint and Mixed Media on Canvas Theatre Backdrop, 2018 - 2023
‘Painting XIII’ played backdrop to many of the performances at the Open and Closing events of the exhibition. It was dreamy and so much bigger than it seemed on the surface.
Within this instagram post, images 2, 3 and 8 taken at the exhibition, 'What Does Life After Death Look Like?' At @movinggallerysunderland
Taken by Rebecca Symm.
Images 1,4,5,6 and 7 taken at The Rainbow Room - in a four story building previously the Royal British Legion Middlesbrough. Taken by Colin Davison.
‘Being Seen’
Poem voice over drawing film, 2023
This was Hannah’s first exhibited poem & film, and what a courageous step into the media it was. The footage shows Hannah sat on and within her epically large, and at that point, folded painting, ‘Painting XIII’.
Overlaid, her soft piercing words, like offerings to the heart.
“I feel selfish, lucky and confounded,
Surviving and cheating death,
Shouldn’t leave me so dumbfounded…”

‘Rainbow Bolt’
Acrylic and Pen on Canvas, 2022
🌈 ✨️
Hannah’s painting shoots a bolt of rainbow way up high, from a furnace like hole in the wall.
